Plans and billing
Three plans: a free one to prove it works, Starter for one site with real traffic, and Pro for a busy site that needs live business data. Anything beyond that is Enterprise.
Free
10 messages a day, 3 knowledge sources, one widget. Enough to put Minaya on a real site and see it answer real questions. The daily cap resets at midnight UTC.
Starter and Pro
Each plan comes with a monthly message allowance. Messages are counted across every conversation, and the allowance resets on your renewal date. Each is priced two ways: with Minaya supplying the AI, or with a key of your own.
| Plan | Messages / month | We supply the AI | You bring a key | MCP server |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 2,000 | $29 | $23 | — |
| Pro | 10,000 | $99 | $79 | Included |
Both include every feature: your own branding, human handoff, request capture, the Sales Agent behaviour, and full analytics. Starter allows 25 knowledge sources and one widget; Pro allows 100 sources and three widgets.
Replies that take an action
On Minaya’s AI, a reply that takes an action counts as 3 messages from your allowance: one that records a visitor’s request (lead capture), or on Pro, one that looks something up in your systems through MCP. Every other reply counts as one.
An action takes several model calls — the tool call, its result, then the answer — and each resends the conversation, so it costs several times a plain reply. With your own key every reply counts as one, since you pay the provider for those calls directly.
Bringing your own key
Supply an OpenAI or Anthropic key and you pay that provider directly, with no markup from us — which is why the price is lower. The key is encrypted at rest and used only for your widget.
You can add it before or after checkout. Until a key is saved the widget does not answer, because that price excludes inference: we do not serve our own model against it. The dashboard flags this until a key is present.
MCP server
Connecting your own MCP server is part of Pro. It is not available on Starter: tool definitions ride in every prompt and each tool call replays the conversation, so it only makes sense at Pro’s volume and price.
Enterprise
Need more than 10,000 messages a month, more widgets, or custom terms and invoicing? Talk to us and we will put a plan together.
When an allowance runs out
The widget keeps working — it replies that it cannot answer right now and points the visitor at your contact details. It never simply goes silent, and it never tells them anything about your plan.
There is also a daily ceiling on paid plans, set well above your daily average. It exists to catch a runaway loop, not to limit a busy day, and a normal launch-day spike passes straight through it.
Payment history
Every charge against your subscription is listed under Billing, with the amount, the date, the card used, and whether it was a first payment, a renewal, or a mid-cycle plan change.
Each row links to a downloadable invoice. Refunds are shown against the payment they credit, so a refunded charge is never presented as money you paid.
These come straight from our payment provider rather than a copy we keep, so the amounts always match what was actually charged.
Changing or cancelling
Change plan at any time from Billing. An upgrade applies straight away: you are charged only the prorated difference for the rest of the current month, and your renewal date stays the same. A cheaper plan takes effect at your next renewal — you keep everything you have already paid for until then, and the lower price is what you are charged from that date.
Cancelling leaves the widget running until the end of the period you have paid for, then drops to the free plan. Data you collected stays readable after a downgrade — requests and conversations are not deleted. Capture stops; the history does not vanish.
